Now I love camping as much at the next girl but it was absolutely lovely to get a bit spoilt on our last trip with some luxury in Wollongong. Both Gee and I were originally from the Gong, so mostly our trips back there consist of us driving around saying “I remember when…” and “Oh my goodness that building has gone/ grown/ changed completely”. We also mostly stay with family, so this trip was extra special.
Less popular than nearby Saltwater Creek, Bittangabee Bay is one of the prettiest places to camp on the Far South Coast. With more than twice the amount of campsites, it’s hard to feel crowded at Bittangabee. The downside is that it is a little bit more of a walk down from the headland to the bay for a swim or fish. Though having said that, it is the perfect place to swim in the protected bay on a lazy afternoon. Continue reading
Ideal camping weather and ideal photography weather are two different things. This weekend we had ideal camping conditions with beautiful clear skies over Aragunnu campground just south of Bermagui, NSW. While it would have been nice to have gorgeous dramatic skies for our dawn and dusk photos, we made the most of what we did have and practiced thinking outside the square a little. Continue reading
Merimbula, on the Sapphire Coast of NSW, is one of the most popular holiday destinations for a very good reason and it’s one of our favourite places to take photos. From Short Point, overlooking Back Lake and Tura Beach to Top Lake and the Boardwalk; the ever popular Bar Beach and Mitchies Jetty; Merimbula is full of lovely spots to spend the day soaking up some sun, relaxing or trying something new.
