Ben Boyd National Park is one of our favourite places anytime of the year, with its dramatic coastlines and abundant wildlife, but this time of year is extra special as the whales make their annual migration south. Circumstances have prevented us from being in the right place at the right time until now. Continue reading
One of the most beautiful jewels of the Sapphire Coast is Bermagui and Gee surprised me with a whirlwind Mother’s Day get away there. He pretty quickly learned that surprise getaway’s to Bermagui should be planned a bit further in advance as Bermi books out quite quickly, even in the cooler weather but with some persistence and lots of phone calls he found a little gem of a room at the pub. It’s not hard to find lots of good information on the internet about how to improve your photography, and many of us take different journeys to get where we are going. We could write an exhaustive list of all the things you should do and know but it really boiled down to three main things that took us from there, the image on the left taken in October 2013 to here, on the right taken March 2015. Now I love camping as much at the next girl but it was absolutely lovely to get a bit spoilt on our last trip with some luxury in Wollongong. Both Gee and I were originally from the Gong, so mostly our trips back there consist of us driving around saying “I remember when…” and “Oh my goodness that building has gone/ grown/ changed completely”. We also mostly stay with family, so this trip was extra special.
There were people wearing shirts this weekend that sums up Bathurst perfectly- “For some Bathurst is a destination, for others it’s a pilgrimage.”
Some people were there just to watch one of the most anticipated car races in Australia and they were rewarded this year with a nail biting, edge of your seat, surprising at almost every turn race. Continue reading
